Syed Murad Ali Shah, a stalwart of the Pakistan Peoples Party, took the oath as the 25th Chief Minister of the province in a ceremony held at the Governor House. Governor Kamran Tessori administered the oath in the presence of dignitaries including PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and outgoing caretaker Chief Minister retired Justice Maqbool Baqar. Despite chaotic scenes following the ceremony, CM Shah and Mr. Bhutto-Zardari departed with their security detail. In his oath, CM Shah pledged to fulfill his duties for the people’s welfare and uphold the Constitution. He vowed to lead Sindh towards prosperity, unity, and progress. The ceremony was conducted by Chief Secretary Dr. Fakhre Alam and attended by prominent figures such as Faryal Talpur, former CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah, and Sindh Assembly Speaker Awais Qadir Shah. With a comfortable majority, CM Shah secured his position for the third consecutive term, emphasizing priorities including water provision and law enforcement.
