The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has announced key appointments within the opposition ranks of the Punjab Assembly. Sahibzada Hamid Raza, the head of SIC, revealed the nominations, appointing Malik Ahmed Bhachar as the opposition leader and Moeen Riaz Qureshi as the deputy opposition leader. This decision follows the initial nomination of Mian Aslam Iqbal, which faced obstacles preventing him from taking oath as an MPA. As a result, new appointments were made in consultation with Mian Aslam and PTI Founder Imran Khan. Bhachar’s appointment is temporary, aimed at ensuring effective representation within the opposition.
