In a significant move aimed at bolstering law enforcement infrastructure, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has earmarked 2 billion rupees for the establishment of 708 new police stations across the province. During a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shah and attended by top officials including the DG Rangers and IG Sindh, emphasis was placed on the paramount importance of safeguarding the public and their belongings. Concerns were raised regarding the deteriorating public order situation in certain areas, notably Kutch, prompting directives from Chief Minister Shah to the IG police to halt gun shows completely. Additionally, actions were urged to address the concerning trend of civilians organizing gun shows without proper oversight, as observed in Dala. This proactive stance reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing public safety and maintaining law and order in the region.
