Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the chosen candidate supported by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President and seven other parties, secured victory in the 24th Prime Minister election of Pakistan with 201 votes. His triumph came against the PTI-backed and Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) nominated candidate, Omar Ayub Khan, who garnered 92 votes. National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq officially declared Shehbaz Sharif as the 24th Prime Minister of the 16th National Assembly, establishing his role as the Leader of the House in the Lower House of Parliament.
