The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially announced the schedule for the Senate elections slated for April 2nd. Ijaz Anwar Chauhan, appointed as the returning officer for Punjab province, has issued a public notice regarding the election process. A total of 12 Senate seats will be contested in Punjab, including 7 general, 2 women, 2 technocrats and scholars, and one non-Muslim member. Nomination papers can be submitted on March 15th and 16th, with scrutiny scheduled to conclude by March 19th. Any appeals against nomination decisions must be filed by March 21st, with tribunal decisions expected by March 25th. The polling is set to take place on April 2nd at the Punjab Assembly Hall in Lahore, from 9 am to 4 pm.
