After returning from the ‘Gaza Solidarity March,’ Islamabad police reportedly attempted to arrest Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Senator Mushtaq Ahmed. Ahmed, sharing his account on social media platform X, stated that the police pursued his car, even in the presence of his family. He described how police attempted to seize mobile phones from his son and driver, alongside threats following the display of his identity card. The situation escalated into a heated exchange between Ahmed and the officers. Meanwhile, JI senior leader Liaqat Baloch emphasized the necessity of political stability, advocating for transparent elections and respect for voters’ decisions.
