Following the Pakistan national cricket team’s forthcoming home series against New Zealand, the announcement of foreign coaches is imminent. Reports suggest that the PCB has finalized the selection process for these coaches, with former South African coach Gary Kirsten slated to take charge as the white-ball coach, and Australian cricket legend Jason Gillespie to assume the role of red-ball coach.
Alongside the recruitment of foreign coaches, the PCB will also finalize the hiring of local coaches and additional sports staff. The first of five T20Is between Pakistan and New Zealand is scheduled for April 18 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. Earlier, there were indications that Kirsten and Gillespie would join the Pakistan team as coaches by the end of April. Additionally, Mohammad Yousuf, a member of the national selection committee, preemptively announced Kirsten as the head coach in a press conference before the official announcement by the PCB.
