Breaking barriers and seizing victory, Pakistan’s Deaf Cricket Team, captained by Zaka Ahmed Qureshi, clinched the prestigious title at the Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC) T20 World Cup 2024. Held at the Cricket Vision Centre in Sharjah, UAE, from March 6th to 12th, the tournament witnessed fierce competition among six nations, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Australia. With an unbeaten streak throughout, Pakistan dominated the field, culminating in a resounding triumph over Sri Lanka in the final, securing victory by a commanding 88-run margin. Posting a formidable total of 151 runs, Pakistan’s bowlers showcased their prowess, restricting Sri Lanka to a mere 63 runs in 16.5 overs.
