Newly elected members of Punjab Assembly sworn-in

Outgoing Punjab Assembly Speaker, Sibtain Khan, oversaw the oath-taking ceremony for Maryam Nawaz and other newly-elected members. The session, although delayed, marked the inaugural gathering of the Punjab Assembly following the February 8 elections. Amidst slogans and tension between PML-N, PTI, and SIC members, Speaker Khan assured fair proceedings for all. The election for the speaker and deputy speaker is slated for the following day.
