Nepra, the regulatory body, has released a notification regarding a significant hike in electricity prices, amounting to 7 rupees and 5 paise per unit. This adjustment is attributed to the monthly fuel price adjustment for January. As a consequence of this increase, consumers are expected to bear an additional financial burden totaling 66 billion rupees. This surge in electricity costs will be reflected in the upcoming March bills, necessitating additional payments from consumers.
