Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued directives to officials to prohibit mobile SIMs issued on ineffective and expired identity cards, emphasizing the paramount importance of data integrity and safeguarding citizens’ information.
Taking decisive action to bolster security measures and streamline services at the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), the minister received comprehensive briefings during a visit to the NADRA headquarters. He stressed the imperative of heightened security measures and enhanced service delivery, instructing NADRA authorities to fortify citizens’ data security while improving mobile platforms to enhance public convenience.
Additionally, he highlighted the significance of leveraging social media platforms to effectively promote NADRA’s initiatives and services. Minister Naqvi also outlined plans to establish model NADRA offices akin to successful model police stations in Punjab, prioritizing efficiency and customer service to provide swift and reliable services to the public. As part of efforts to streamline bureaucratic processes, he announced the abolition of death certificate fees and proposed the introduction of a system to manage birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates alongside union council offices.
Minister Naqvi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing administrative efficiency and public services, aiming to strengthen governance and promote citizen welfare through measures ensuring data security, process streamlining, and improved service accessibility.
