Once again, Lahore tops the list of the world’s most polluted cities with an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 256 points. Residents are grappling with respiratory issues amid AQI readings exceeding 280 points in certain areas like Bedian Road, DHA, and Maratab Ali Road. The environment department suggests that pollution levels may only subside with rainfall. Currently, continental air dominates the region, leading to mainly dry weather across the country, with colder temperatures observed in the upper regions during the night.
