The Islamabad High Court, presided over by Justice Saman Riffat Imtiaz, has addressed a plea submitted by Hiba Fawad, the spouse of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, regarding visitation rights for the incarcerated minister. The court was informed by the state counsel that meetings between Fawad Chaudhry and his family have been scheduled every Thursday by the jail administration. Subsequently, Justice Imtiaz disposed of the plea after ensuring that it was duly considered. Fawad Chaudhry, currently detained in connection with a graft case, stands accused of allegedly violating regulations by awarding contracts to a contractor and illicitly profiting from the transactions.
