The Islamabad High Court (IHC) is poised to deliberate on appeals challenging the convictions of PTI founder Imran Khan in the Cipher and Toshakhana cases, along with similar appeals from Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Bushra Bibi, scheduled for Monday’s session. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb will preside over the division bench conducting the hearings, which will also address requests for bail alongside the suspension of sentences. The appeals contest the 10-year sentence handed down by the Special Court under the Official Secrets Act in the Cipher case and the 14-year imprisonment from the Accountability Court in the Toshahkhana NAB reference. Additionally, a bench led by Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri will review Imran Khan’s bail application related to the £190 million corruption case.
