As the annual Hajj pilgrimage approaches, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced flight details to facilitate the departure of pilgrims from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia. Running from May 9 to June 9, the flight operations will see 2,160 pilgrims embarking on their spiritual journey on the first day alone, with 11 flights scheduled. Initially, all flights within the first 15 days will be directed to Madina airport, while from May 24 to June 9, the focus will shift to Jeddah Airport, aiding pilgrims in reaching the sacred sites. On the inaugural day, Islamabad will see three flights carrying 680 pilgrims, Karachi two flights with 330 pilgrims, and Lahore three flights with 670 pilgrims. Flights from Multan and Sialkot are also scheduled. Subsequent departure dates from Quetta starting May 11 and Sukkur from May 27 ensure inclusivity for pilgrims nationwide. A total of 259 flights are slated to transport over 68,000 pilgrims, with the first return flight scheduled for June 20. The ministry underscores its comprehensive planning and coordination efforts to ensure pilgrims’ safety and comfort throughout their Hajj journey.
