Dubai Paints Roads Blue to Combat Asphalt Heat

As part of a pilot initiative by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), roads in Dubai are undergoing a transformation with blue paint, aimed at mitigating the scorching temperatures of the asphalt by 15-20 degrees Celsius. Traditionally, dark-colored asphalt roads absorb substantial heat from the sun, resulting in uncomfortably high surface temperatures, particularly during hot weather conditions.
