An alarming revelation uncovers an organized drug supply network infiltrating Karachi’s educational institutions, with female dealers playing pivotal roles. Social media platforms serve as channels for drug orders, delivered discreetly akin to fast food services. Once confined to remote areas, drugs now pervade Karachi’s educational landscape, with cocaine and ice addiction skyrocketing among students. Prices range from Rs15,000 to Rs17,000 per gram for cocaine and Rs2500 to Rs3500 per gram for ice, enticing young users. Police pinpoint ‘Dr. Baloch’ and ‘Pinky Group’ as masterminds, operating from Balochistan and Rahim Yar Khan respectively. Concerned voices, including anti-narcotics worker Abdullah and Faisal Edhi of Edhi Foundation, echo fears of rising youth drug addiction. Despite police efforts, the network persists, underscoring the need for collective action from authorities, teachers, and parents to stem the tide of drug abuse in educational settings.
