In the ongoing investigation of the Ameer Balaj murder case, a local court in Lahore has granted a five-day physical remand for the accused, Ahsan Shah. The Lahore CIA Police brought Ahsan Shah before the court of Judicial Magistrate Sarwat Batul. Requesting a ten-day remand, the police stated that further investigation was necessary as Ahsan Shah’s involvement surfaced from a statement under section 161. The CIA Police asserted that Ahsan Shah had provided crucial information regarding Ameer Balaj, prompting the need for his remand to recover payments exchanged for the tip. The court has instructed the CIA Police to produce Ahsan Shah again on March 23rd for further proceedings.
