Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir expressed his gratitude to a Higher Power as he prepares for his comeback to international cricket after nearly four years. In a post on X, he shared a photo donning the Pakistan jersey once again, captioning it with words of thanks and acknowledging the journey.
Amir’s last T20I match was against England on August 30, 2020. Pakistan is scheduled to face New Zealand in the first of five T20Is on April 18 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. Meanwhile, the announcement of Pakistan’s foreign coaches for the national cricket team is expected after the New Zealand series, with former South African coach Gary Kirsten tipped for the white-ball coach role and Australian cricketer Jason Gillespie for the red-ball coach position. Alongside foreign coaches, hiring for local coaches and additional sports staff is also underway, as per sources within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
