The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating a rise in temperatures for Lahore, with temperatures expected to reach up to 40 degrees Celsius next week. Initially, the weather in Lahore will be cloudy for two days, but subsequently, the heat is anticipated to intensify.
Presently, the maximum temperature in the city is recorded at 32 degrees Celsius, with the current temperature at 22 degrees Celsius, projected to increase gradually. In light of recent rains affecting various districts of Punjab, including Lahore, DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia has instructed Deputy Commissioners across the province to remain vigilant.
The PDMA spokesperson highlighted that relevant departments are on high alert to address any emergencies, with emergency operation centers in all districts, including the provincial control room, being activated. Continuous monitoring of the situation is being conducted round the clock at the PDMA control room. Additionally, DG PDMA has emphasized the importance of promptly draining water from residential areas to mitigate potential risks.
