Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the urgent need for action to materialize the seven agreements worth $10 billion inked between Pakistan and Kuwait last November. During a meeting with Kuwait’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nassar Abdulrahman Jasser Almutairi, the prime minister underscored the significance of these agreements covering various sectors such as food security, technology, and energy. He highlighted the pivotal role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council in attracting foreign investment and stressed Pakistan’s commitment to bolstering its enduring relationship with Kuwait. Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude for Kuwait’s support and extended an invitation to the Amir of Kuwait to visit Pakistan. In return, the ambassador conveyed Kuwait’s appreciation for Pakistan’s solidarity, especially during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Both sides reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening bilateral ties, with Shehbaz Sharif commending Ambassador Almutairi for his efforts in fostering closer relations between the two nations.
