In a concerted effort to enhance employment prospects for Saudi nationals, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), in partnership with the Ministry of Health, has initiated a program to localize 35% of positions within the dental sector. Effective March 10, this directive applies to private sector entities with three or more employees. Under the oversight of the Ministry of Health, compliance with this mandate will be closely monitored to ensure alignment with the labor market’s requirements. To facilitate the integration of Saudi workers into these roles, private sector organizations will receive support and incentives from the MHRSD. This assistance encompasses guidance in recruitment, retention, training, and qualification of suitable talent. To aid establishments in navigating this transition, the MHRSD has released a comprehensive procedural manual on its website, outlining the localization criteria and mandatory percentages. The Ministry underscores the obligatory nature of adhering to these new regulations to avoid potential penalties.
