The Accountability Court of Islamabad took a significant step as it suspended the perpetual arrest warrants of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s sons, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz, in the Flagship, Al-Azizia, and Avenfield references of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after their surrender. The court accepted their bail pleas against bail bonds worth Rs50,000 each and appointed Rana Muhammad Irfan as their pleader. The proceedings were adjourned till the following day, with the court issuing a notice to the NAB for the bail applications of Hassan and Hussain. Amidst informal media interaction, Hussain Nawaz emphasized the importance of a fair trial for all and refrained from commenting on incarcerated former premier Imran Khan. The court session earlier adjourned until noon, awaiting the surrender of Hassan and Hussain Nawaz, who had been declared proclaimed offenders in the Panama Papers case seven years ago.
