The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) Punjab has initiated a request to allocate Rs. 27.238 million for urgent maintenance and tire replacement of a VVIP high-security Mercedes armored car, S-600-L. This request, endorsed by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, underscores the paramount importance of ensuring the safety and security of government officials. The estimated cost, provided by the sole distributor of Daimler AG in Pakistan, includes miscellaneous works alongside the tire replacement. The CMO’s letter, urging for swift action, emphasizes the critical nature of this expenditure. Additionally, permission for advance payment to the designated vendor has been sought, ensuring timely execution of the maintenance task. While the tires are reportedly in usable condition, the decision to replace them aligns with the Chief Minister’s preferences, reflecting a commitment to optimal standards.
