Matric, inter exams dates announced

The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has released the examination schedule for matric and intermediate exams for the year 2024. According to the notification, both matriculation and intermediate exams will take place in the last week of May 2024, with results announced on July 31 and the second week of August 31, respectively. The academic year 2024-25 will commence on August 1, 2024, instead of April 1, 2024, as initially planned. Summer vacations for the session will span from June 1, 2024, to July 31, 2024, while winter vacations are scheduled from December 21, 2024, to December 31, 2024. Additionally, to address concerns regarding irregularities in board examinations and results, the Sindh government has approved the outsourcing of matric and intermediate boards. This decision aims to enhance transparency and efficiency in the examination system, with a focus on eliminating maladministration and corrupt practices. Heads of all matric and intermediate education boards have been directed to prioritize outsourcing examination components through an open competitive bidding process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
