PTI Leaders Imran Khan, Faisal Javed, Asad Umar Cleared of Charges

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and ex-lawmakers Asad Umar and Faisal Javed, along with others, have been acquitted by the Islamabad District and Sessions Court in a protest and vandalism case stemming from the supposed long march of May 25, 2022. Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Shabbir accepted the acquittal petitions, citing the futility of further trial as the suspects couldn’t be punished. The court highlighted the lack of notification regarding Section 144 implementation and suggested political motivations behind the case. Notably, suspects Asad Umar, Ali Nawaz Awan, and Faisal Javed were on bail and can now withdraw their bonds
