Amidst a surge of criminal activity, a violent clash erupted on Wednesday in the Korangi area, claiming the lives of two suspected robbers and an innocent puncture shop employee. According to police reports, the confrontation ensued when officers from the Awami Colony police station intercepted armed robbers attempting to escape after robbing a woman. A pursuit ensued, leading to a fatal exchange of gunfire near Coast Guard Chowrangi, within the jurisdiction of the Zaman Town police station. Tragically, two robbers were fatally wounded, and a bystander, identified as Kashan, a puncture shop worker, sustained critical injuries. Despite efforts, Kashan succumbed to his injuries at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. In separate incidents across City and Central police districts, three more suspected robbers met a similar fate in encounters with law enforcement, marking a grim escalation in the ongoing battle against crime.
