Careem Pakistan, a well-known ride-hailing service, has found itself embroiled in controversy and facing criticism from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) party following a contentious post on the social media platform X on Wednesday. The now-deleted tweet by Careem contained the phrase “program warr gaya,” which was interpreted as derogatory and politically charged. This phrase is often associated with Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party who currently serves as Vice-President.
