In Balochistan, heavy rains persisted for the second consecutive day, leading to tragic consequences as five laborers lost their lives when a house collapsed in Dukki. The local community promptly responded, retrieving the deceased and transporting them to the nearby government hospital. Across various regions including Quetta, Loralai, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Shirani, and Zhob, thunderstorms wreaked havoc, causing road inundation in Quetta. Rain clouds also showered areas like Qila Abdullah, Mastung, Harnai, Sabi, and Jhal Magsi.
The Meteorological Department highlighted widespread heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunder in several districts, with Loralai recording the highest precipitation at 33 mm. Additionally, landslides at Dahana Sar in Shirani disrupted land communication between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, stranding numerous passengers. However, prompt response from the district administration initiated restoration efforts to reopen the highway and alleviate the situation.
