The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has initiated its annual Intermediate Examinations Part 2, with a staggering 194,645 students participating across 567 examination centers. Today’s exams encompass subjects like psychology, nursing, and food and nutrition, with monitoring teams poised to conduct raids in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib examination centers. Notably, exams slated for April 20 and 22 have been rescheduled to May 23 and May 25, respectively, to accommodate upcoming by-elections.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat underscored the government’s dedication to transparent examinations, pledging a crackdown on cheating syndicates. Emphasizing a “zero cheating” policy, Hayat outlined measures including banning private invigilators, installing surveillance cameras, and implementing non-bailable provisions against the “cheating mafia.” He affirmed strict penalties for those involved, underscoring a relentless commitment to preserving examination integrity and combating malpractice.
